A bulging disc is similar to a herniated disc, except that the outer casing of the disc has only weakened, not ruptured. This can cause severe to mild pain and discomfort and can be successfully treated using a range of chiropractic methods.

When a spinal disc herniates, the gel-like internal material of the disc often pushes out through the disc’s fibrous casing and irritates nearby nerves. Chiropractic adjustments, spinal decompression, and other treatments may be used to treat this condition.

When spinal discs begin to deteriorate, all manner of pain, discomfort, and loss of mobility can result. This condition can be the natural result of age, an autoimmune response, or the effect of some other genetic condition or infection. Sciatica is a condition that causes pain to run down the length of the sciatic nerve. It tends to begin in the lower back and radiate down one or both legs and can go as far as the toes in some cases. Most often, sciatica occurs on one side of the body only. This condition refers to a narrowing of the space surrounding the spine. Spinal stenosis can impose pressure on the many nerves in and around the spine and in most cases will generate pain in the neck and the lower back. Weakness, tingling, and pain are the most common sensations associated with this condition. This condition can be exacerbated by age and time and is often accompanied by osteoarthritis.

Whiplash
Sometimes difficult to diagnose, whiplash can cause mild, moderate, or severe pain. Most often the result of an automobile accident, whiplash can be debilitating, causing patients to lose time at work and in their recreational activities. Once accurately diagnosed, whiplash is among the most successfully treated conditions in chiropractic medicine.

Migraines & Headaches
Headaches and migraines are often caused by abnormal pain signals in the brain stem. These signals may be caused by tension in the muscles of your neck and shoulders. Chiropractic care can reduce and eliminate this tension, providing effective pain relief for your headaches or migraines.
